Tinkerbell, a senior yorkie, was brought to BARC by a good samaritan who found her cold and starving in a cardboard box in McCarren Park. Upon further inspection, it was discovered that someone had cruelly cut off both her front paws at some point in the near past, leaving her unable to stand.  Tinkerbell is not up for adoption. The staff and volunteers at BARC are taking care of her in an effort to make the rest of her life as comfortable and happy as possible.  Tinkerbell is the resident inspiration of the Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition, the no-kill animal shelter that cares for her.  Tinkerbell will join us on the cruise to inspire you and impart precious secrets of perseverance and survival..
